In addition to general measures to prevent industrial accidents that are tailored to their work, foreign workers are also required to receive safety and health training in a way that they can fully understand the content of the training.
On the other hand, because businesses owners employing foreign workers may also be unfamiliar with safety and health management for foreign workers, it is necessary to support them by ensuring there is a consultation system for safety and health management for foreign workers and other measures to prevent industrial accidents involving foreign workers.
Therefore, the Safety and Health Management Consultation Team has been organized in the Foreign Residents Support Center to provide consultation services for safety and health management for foreign workers
The Safety and Health Management Consultation Team answers questions and concerns about health and safety management for foreign workers and employers.
Please feel free to make use of this service. It is provided free of charge. We will keep the contents of the consultation confidential.
Experts on safety and health will visit your workplace to check the status of safety and health management, safety and health training, and instructions to prevent industrial accidents for foreign workers, as well as to check problems and provide advice on how to improve them.
We look forward to serving you.

Generally speaking, the problem that occurs when employing foreign workers is poor communication due to the lack of proficiency in Japanese and the lack of skills. The reason for poor communication is not only foreign workers lack of proficiency in Japanese but also the way employers handle foreign workers who are not proficient in Japanese, the lack of understanding of cultural differences, and the lack of training methods and systems for unskilled foreign workers.
With these issues in mind, this book delves into the current situation of foreign workers through surveys conducted by various organizations, including local governments, to find clues to preventing industrial accidents involving foreign workers.
We hope this book will be helpful for many people involved in the health and safety of foreign workers, including not only those who already employ foreign workers but also those who are considering employing them in the future.
